Draw and schedule
The draw for the qualifying groups is planned for late 2026; qualifying starts in March 2027. The draw for the final tournament follows in late 2027.
The group stage has 36 matches in six groups of four. The top two of each group and the four best third-placed teams go through to the round of 16, followed by the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final.
